This might have something to do with the fact that King James II of Scotland was killed when he tried to use a cannon (according to in-game history) but that should have affected the Celts and not the Britons. I still think it’s lame. It’s even more comical when they COMPLETELY lack gunpowder in Age of Empires II (excluding the forgotten) but have the best musketeers, the best navy (which use gunpowder in the form of cannons) , all artillery foundry units (with slightly better grenadiers) and their own unique artillery unit in Age Of Empires III.
